I take part in a Project 365 over at ravelry . (rav link) we also have a photo pool over at flickr . Every month I take my photos and make a mosaic for the month. It’s really fun to see the whole month at once! If you’d like to see my other Project 365 photos (I have a set) please feel free to check them out.

As you can tell I’ve had a really busy month. A fun one too! I really like keeping track of my days by snapping a photo. At first when I started the “project” I was worried that I wouldn’t know what to snap photos of each day. I try to capture what I did that day or something that will remind me of that day. I figure at the end of the year I’ll have some wonderful photos to look back on. I’m a little over halfway through. I’m thinking I’d like to do this again next year too!

It’s fun looking back over the month, How was your month?

As a mom, there are a few things that I really don’t like. For example: waking up to a sick toddler, you know they’re not old enough to get to the bathroom on time. But that’s a whole different story and we’re not going there! another annoyance I have isn’t as huge but just as annoying. it’s Playdough. yeah it sounds nice and looks pretty and feels squishy but I don’t like it one bit! It gets ground into carpet and is hard to get out. I guess that’s my biggest issue with it, it makes a mess. All that aside today I figured it was nice out and I’d get the playdough out and the girls could play with it outside. The only problem is our table outside is like mesh so not a good surface for playing play dough. I looked and looked but could not find a plastic table cloth. So to improvise until I can get a plastic one I gave the girls some plates to work on. (ya got to be quick thinking as a momma) So the girls happily played for 1-2 hours with out fighting! I have a simple recipe for making your own playdough that I was ready to fall back on should our playdough be dried out. But it wasn’t all except the yellow. I’ll share the recipe with you some other time!
anyways this post I’m trying to add a photo, we’ll see if it works. This blog is new to me. I have another blog that I’m still posting to. I just thought I’d try this one out for a while.

This is Allena, and this blog will be a place where I get to narrate my every day life being a momma and a crafter. Some times I’ll share recipes, craft tips, and patterns. Other times I’ll chat about mom things, hopefully I’ll be able to give you some hints or tips of things that work well for us. I’m a SAHM who loves to knit, crochet, sew, read, bake, etc, etc. (you name it I’ll probably like it) I’m married and we have 2 children. The Bub is an 8 year old full of life and love. She’s also very emotional, talkative and being the first born quite the know-it-all. She has a tendency to act before thinking and loves to talk, wake up early, read, sing, watch movies, swim, help around the house and dance. The Bead is 3 years old. She’s always on the go and doesn’t like to stop talking. She’s learning what makes the world go round and wants to do everything that her big sis does too. The bead loves to cuddle, hug, ‘read’ books, sing, dance, help, play outside, and run. That’s a little background about us. Thanks for reading!
